Let’s assume we are designing a solution for Alex - our proto-persona - that is a 27-year-old person. Alex suffers from panic attacks and struggles to deal with this condition since it affects him in unpredictable situations. He doesn’t know how to handle that since he never experienced panic attacks in previous years.
His family and friends don’t know how to help him but he found something on the web: a mobile app that guides people in handling panic attacks.
Here is a list of the main sources from which I acquired notions and findings
Here are the transcriptions of the conducted interviews
*It was not easy to find people to interview with experience of panic attacks and willing to talk about them. During my projects, I usually try to collect at least 5 interviews and surveys too. Due to the subject's sensitive nature and the restricted time, I decided to avoid quantitative research. I compensated for the lack of direct interviews with the desk research, primarily based on scientific articles and direct testimonies. This step remains an open “next-step” for a more long-term project.
👀 Affinity Map
Both physical (Ita) and digital(eng) versions of the affinity map. With the physical version, I have a deep processing of the information and this is useful to gain insights and come up with more ideas.
